The sun shone for most of the time and there were loads of things for all the family to see and do including the mobile state-of-the-art Spider Mountain climbing wall - back by popular demand.

The crowd was also entertained by a performance by Allander Jazz Band, some mesmerising tricks by a magician, a dog display and New Kilpatrick Scottish Country dancers.

This was the fourth year of the event.

Rev Alan Wells from Castlehill Baptist Church, one of the event organisers, said: “We are delighted at how successful an event this has become.

“From a modest start four years ago we have clearly developed something that the whole community have taken to. “Whole families coming out to share together in a great outdoor event.

“It is truly wonderful to have so many people commenting about how this is bringing out the true spirit of this great community and bringing it together.

“And with good weather that came, it really couldn’t have been a better day.”
