Little Layla to appear in TV advert

Layla Hamilton was chosen out of hundreds of children who went for the parts.

Layla, from Bishopbriggs, plays an angel in the Christmas nativity scene advert, which was filmed in St Margaret’s Church in Glasgow.

The youngster only recently starting attending the Scene One Theatre Arts group, in Bishopbriggs.

Layla’s mum Debbie said: “Layla really enjoyed it all and getting dressed up. This is the first time she has done anything like that. The casting people were all really nice. I’m looking forward to seeing the advert, although I’ll probably be in tears every time.”

Jennifer McLardy, who runs the Bishopbriggs theatre group, said: “Layla has always showed promise. She’s a very talented little girl. There’s a lot of talent in Bishopbriggs.”
