Lighting up Law and Carluke tonight.

Santa and Carluke Gala Queen Caoimhe Rea have a busy night tonight, as they bring the spirit of Christmas to Law and Carluke.

The festivities start at Carluke in Rankin Gait, at 3pm, with the fairground and entertainment, leading up to the moment when Santa and Caoimhe switch on the Christmas lights.

Clyde One’s Gina McKie is in charge of the fun, which will feature a Fairytale Show with special appearances from a range of princesses. There will be local entertainment, and a festive sing-a-long before the lights go on.

While that the fun is going on in Carluke, organised by South Lanarkshire Council. Santa and the young gala queen will make an appearance at Law, to help the community trust with their celebrations.

Law Primary Choir will be singing at the Christmas tree, from 4.20pm and the lights go on at 4.30pm. There will be various stalls in the in the Tom Craig Centre, with tea, coffee and Christmas Mince Pies being served (and if the weather is poor the Switch On will take place indoors there!)
