Remembrance Day services were held in Milngavie and Bearsden on Sunday (November 10) to commemorate those who served in two world wars and more recent conflicts.

Those who went along to the services at the war memorials at Bearsden Cross and Milngavie precinct joined millions of people across the nation to pay their respects to the brave men and women who were killed in the conflicts.

The anniversary of the World War One armistice - signed 95 years ago - was also marked in Milngavie the following day (Monday) with a two-minute silence.

Members of the Milngavie and Bearsden branch of Royal British Legion Scotland and the public met in the precinct for the service which was led by Rev Andrew Lees from Baldernock Parish Church in Balmore.
