MILNGAVIE author Leela Soma has a new novel out.
Called Bombay Baby, it is about a woman torn between her Scottish parents and her Indian roots.
The author was born in Madras and lives in Milngavie. She taught Modern Studies before writing full time.
Her poetry and short stories have been published in a number of anthologies and publications.
She won the Margaret Thomson Davis Trophy for Best New Writer for her then unpublished novel Twice Born.
Ms Soma is on the committee of the Milngavie Book and Arts Festival and the Scottish Writer’s Centre.
Bombay Baby is published on Wednesday by Dahlia Publishing. It will be available to order from the publisher Amazon and any good bookshop.
She will be reading from her book at Milngavie Library on Tuesday, December 6.
