Lanark pool to re-open

HOPES are high that Lanark Pool and Health Suite will be re-opened this weekend after being closed for around a fortnight.

The facility was shut as South Lanarkshire Council worked with contractors trying to fix a fault in the floating pool floor.

But things looked much more promising as the Gazette went to press on Tuesday.

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s Sports and Physical Activity Manager Valerie Kemp said: “We are working with contractors to have the swimming pool at Lanark re-open this weekend and apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.”
