Kilos of cocaine found in Kirkintilloch and Lenzie, and 1,200 cannabis plants!

POLICE have uncovered thousands of pounds worth of drugs during raids in Kirkintilloch.

A police helicopter hovered above premises at Woodilee Industrial Estate this morning (Thursday) and officers seized 1,200 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of around £750,000.

Four men have been detained in connection with the discovery.

Meanwhile, two men – aged 25 and 24 – have been arrested after 1kg of cocaine was found at a house in John Steet, Kirkintilloch, and another 1kg at a home in Blackthorn Avenue, in Lenzie, yesterday (Wednesday).

That’s a combined haul of £100,000.

And police found suspicious items – possibly connected to drug misuse or supply – at vacant unit at Old Mill Park inudustrial estate, in Kirkintilloch last Wednesday (August 8).
