Children are invited to take part in this year’s summer reading challenge which is being held in libraries across East Dunbartonshire from Thursday, June 25 to Saturday, August 22.

The challenge is for youngsters aged four to 11 to read more than they ever have from the library’s fantastic collection of books.

Participants will be given a Record Breakers membership card, and just by reading, they will be able to discover wierd and wacky records from around the world in six different categories including Cool Tech, Way to Go!, The Big Stuff, Animal Magic, People Power and Action!Adventure! whilst collecting rewards and stickers as they go.

Those who complete the challenge by reading six books will receive a Record Breaker Certificate and medal.
