A good Samaritan has laid out a table of food and drinks for people travelling along the West Highland Way. Walkers and cyclists can stop at the Carbeth huts for a tea, coffee, water or snack thanks to this person’s thoughtful contribution.

The table also has an honesty box which requests a suggested donation of £1.50.

Gwyn Kennedy from Bearsden who was cycling along when he spotted it, said: “I noticed that some kind person is laying out a table of goodies for walkers. What a kind thought, and what a superb advert for Scottish hospitality. You will notice from the photos that the home made scones are a favourite!”
