A service that provides a range of practical and emotional support to vulnerable children, young people and their families in East Dunbartonshire has received a glowing report from the Care Inspectorate.
The Community Support Team helps children who live in very difficult circumstances, including those affected by parental substance misuse, parental mental health issues or those subjected to harm or abuse.
The team, who also supervise contact between children who are looked after and accommodated and their parents and support them to make positive changes in their lives which allows the return of their children, received a positive report following an inspection in December.
The service was rated as Grade 5 (Very Good) - the second highest ranking - for its quality of care and support and management and leadership. It received a Grade 4 (Good) rating for its quality of staffing.
The Care Inspectorate’s job is to regulate and inspect care.
