Are you a bit of a daredevil? Fancy a challenge that will take your breath away? Fancy a glide over the Clyde?
Action for Children is looking for East Dunbartonshire residents who have the nerve to take part in a charity zipslide over the iconic river.
The span is 1,000 feet and needs participants who like to take a walk on the wild side.
The event trakes place on Saturday, 12 October and there are still a few places left for local heroes to show their worth and help some of the coutry’s most vulnerable children, young people and families.
Action for Children Scotland fundraiser, Katie Forsyth, said: “Our Zipslide across the Clyde challenge is back for its sixth year and a few places remain for the popular event.
“If you think you’re brave enough to glide over the glide on the 130 feet zipslide, which can reach speeds of up to 35 MPH, please do get in touch to reserve your place – before it’s too late!”
Since the Zipslide across the Clyde challenge launched in 2008, over 750 people have taken part – raising over £120,000 for Action for Children Scotland.
Registration for the Zipslide across the Clyde is just £20 and all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £150 for Action for Children Scotland.
Participants must be aged 16 years or over; and parental consent is required for participants aged 16 or 17 years. The maximum weight is 17 stone.
