AROUND 140 nursery children from across Milngavie and Bearsden will take part in a Train Walk, a family-friendly Thomas & Friends themed sponsored walk on Friday, June 3 to raise funds for The National Autistic Society.
Based upon the classic Thomas The Tank Engine children’s books and characters, the walk will see children from six local playgroups and nurseries walk together in a long train from their premises to the playpark in Milngavie Precinct to help raise funds for people affected by autism.
Taking part are St Paul’s Playgroup and Nursery, Kilmardinny Nursery, The Glasgow Academy Atholl Nursery, St Joseph’s Nursery, Little Gems Nurseries and Mosshead Pre-School.
Event organiser Pamela Davie said: “Our walk is going to be a fantastic day out for all the children involved.
“As well as the walk itself, there will also be a healthy snack for all the children involved and medals for all participants.”
