WESTERTON Gala Day 2011 kicks off at noon on Saturday, September 10 with the Gala Queen’s parade making its way from Wheatfield Road to Westerton Hall.
This year, the 30th anniversary of the local library will be celebrated - and anybody can join in the parade dressed as a character from any story.
The playing fields will be the venue for a range of activities - including welly whanging, whacky races and story tent.
Westerton Tennis Club will host games and activities, including the Kid’s corner for younger ones and face painting upstairs. The Brownie hut will be transformed into a top class tearoom.
Last year the ever popular craft fair in the hall nearly sold out well before the finish so folk are advised to get in quick this year.
The Bowling Club will be offering activities, including games, and the bar will be open.
