Friendship Circle ceilidh in Milngavie Town Hall

The New Kilpatrick ceilidh band and demonstration dancers, together with Mod gold medallists Iain and Kirsteen Maclean joined the Friendship Circle at Milngavie Town Hall recently for an afternoon of singing, dancing, and good cheer.

The Friendship Circle, now celebrating their 20th year, meets every Wednesday, facilitating the fellowship of a very friendly group of people, participating in various entertainment events, and enjoying a tasty meal.

The New Kilpatrick ceilidh band, singers, and dancers (connected to New Kilpatrick Parish Church in Bearsden) form a little concert party, entertaining various social groups and care homes around the region.

Friendship Circle Leader Jennifer Donald said: “The success and longevity of our club relies heavily on the contribution provided by the many supporters, helpers, drivers, and local authority facilities.

“Additionally, on this occasion, the presence of the New Kilpatrick team completed the recipe for an extremely enjoyable afternoon.

“The group of around 50 members headed home exhilarated by the dancing with the music still ringing in their ears, and looking forward to the next visit from New Kilpatrick to complete the circle once again.”
