There is a well known saying that couples who play together stay together.
And the nation’s favourite contemporary choir, the Rock Choir, is going to put this theory to the test on Valentine’s Day.
We already know that singing has great health benefits, as it’’s an uplifting experience but singing in a choir also encourages team work and encourages you to reach a shared goal –- both qualities that are crucial for a happy, long lasting relationship.
Milngavie Rock Choir leader Jennifer Sim said: ““Singing is just such a great way of relaxing, so it makes sense that it would be something couples would enjoy together.”
Rock Choir is inviting couples to attend a free taster session and put it to the test themselves.
What’s more, everyone who attends a taster session and tweets us a picture @RockChoir will be entered into a competition to win two VIP tickets to the Rock Choir 10th Anniversary show on June 6 and 7 at the Genting Arena at the NEC, including overnight accommodation and a goody bag.
Rock Choir is the UK’s largest contemporary choir, with more than 17,000 members in over 300 local communities. There are no auditions and no requirements to read music or have any previous singing experience. Rock Choir members get together each week to attend fun, friendly rehearsals where they are taught specially arranged pop and rock songs. There are lots of exciting performances throughout the year and many of them help raise money for charity.
For a free taster session or more information about times go to www.rockchoir.com or call 01252 714 276.
