LOCAL residents are being invited to quiz Graham Branscombe from East Dunbartonshire’s Zero Waste initiative about recycling when he will be interviewed on Monday, March 18 on East Dunbartonshire Radio.
Graham Branscombe is East Dunbartonshire’s volunteer coordinator for Zero Waste Scotland, and is working with communities across the district to raise awareness of recycling, composting and cleaner streets.
The broadcast will be part of East Dunbartonshire Radio’s current affairs show, “Talking EDs”, and will be available to listen to as a podcast later that day, on www.edradio.co.uk.
A spokesperson for the show said: “Get in touch with any questions they may have about recycling, composting and environmentalism. If you have any concerns about recycling, or want to ask how Zero Waste can help you or people you know, you can get in touch with the team at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/edradio.”
People can also phone into the show during the recording, if they would like to discuss with Graham his activities and goals for a cleaner East Dunbartonshire. To arrange this, simply let East Dunbartonshire Radio know you would like to speak to Graham over the phone.
East Dunbartonshire Radio is a start-up community radio station, which achieved funding this year to focus its programming on local issues and community groups. The station is currently uploading regular podcasts to its website at www.edradio.co.uk, with a view to begin broadcasting over the internet in the next three months.
