Fiona McLeod MSP is encouraging local young people to consider a career at the Scottish Parliament.
There are 20 new apprenticeship positions opening up within the parliament in Edinburgh for 16 to 24-year-olds.
The Strathkelvin and Bearsden MSP said: “The Scottish Parliament is a vibrant and innovative work place and these apprenticeship places would be a great opportunity which I would love local young people to apply for.
“You have to be aged between 16 and 24 and while there is an Open Day that you can go along to and ask questions on Friday, November 21, the website does answer almost any question you could ask.
“The closing date for applications is Sunday, December 7 and any eligible young person can apply for the first intake of apprenticeships to start next year and lasting for 24 months.
“Don’t worry about travelling to Edinburgh, as there is a scheme to help you with your travel costs.”
If you would like to know more or how to apply the details can found at www.scottish.parliament.uk/apprenticeships
Ms McLeod added: “I would love to see some of our ambitious young people apply for these positions as I see them as a first class stepping stone to an excellent career.”
