Vandals have been slammed for starting fires at Old Mine Nature Park in Fallside.

Over the last six months trees and benches have been burned. Young trees are becoming vulnerable to deer due to their supporting tubes being set alight.

Susan Nash, of Forest Enterprise Scotland, said: “This is having a severe impact on the woodland and visitors. We ask if anyone notices anything untoward to report it immediately to the police.”
