Emmerdale cast back ‘Wobbly Williams’

The cast of Emmerdale will take part in the biggest ever ‘Wobbly Williams’ event this summer - organised by the charity’s Bearsden founder.

Bryn Williams (41) was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in September 2001 when he was only 36.

Within three months he’d set up the Wobbly Williams website because he felt there was a lack of help and information online about Parkinson’s for sufferers.

Bryn also established the Funding Neuro charity to raise cash to fund research into finding an effective treatment for the condition.

But this year’s ‘Wobbly Weekend’ in Aberdeenshire will raise money for another great cause - trials for the treatment of brain tumours in children.

Their target amount is £200,000 which would pay for ten children to take part in the trial - and if they reach their target Funding Neuro will have raised over £1million in total since it began.

The cast of ITV’s Emmerdale are going to join in the fun at the ‘Wobbly Weekend’ which starts with a very special first ever ‘Big Night In Cinema’ with viewings of feature length Emmerdale films exclusive to DVD at Thainstone Exchange on Friday, June 13.

One of them, Paddy and Marlon’s Big Night In, has been dubbed the “funniest quiet night in ever” and those with tickets for the screenings can even quiz the stars themselves after the show.

Then, on Saturday, June 14, there will be a wobbly, wonky, crazy day with the Emmerdale cast as you’ve never seen them before.

The event at Storybook Glen in Royal Deeside will have everything from the ITC World Haggis Hurling Championships to the Jellympic Games and ‘It’s a Wobbly Knockout’.

More madness commences at the ‘Wobbly Banquet’ the same evening within the grounds of Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie.

Bryn said: “This is guaranteed to be like nothing you’ve ever witnessed before!

“Guests will experience first-hand how talented our Emmerdale celebrities are as they enjoy exclusive musical performances and entertainment - then they can party the night away with the stars!”
