DRYMEN Art Club is holding its annual exhibition following a busy winter period of activity.
The Spring Show is in the village hall on Saturday April 13 between 9am to 7pm and the following day from 10am to 5pm.
With almost 200 paintings on show, visitors are invited to choose their favourite picture. The artist of the most popular piece will receive the coveted Wendy Shuker prize.
This is an art club and not an art class. Bunny Campbell a graduate of Glasgow School of Art is on hand for guidance. There is a member’s library of art books and DVD’s.
The 25 members encourage one another but all develop their own style. By their individual skills
they create a range of work including portrait, landscape, seascape, birds, flowers and much more.
If you are interested in joining the club then speak to a member at the exhibition.
Local work by local artists is always popular. Last year over 25 per cent of the paintings were sold.
With admission being free and refreshments and home baking available why not come along on the day and
enjoy the exhibition.
