Milngavie folk are being urged to attend a drop in session this weekend to have a say in the future of the town.
The event is being held on Saturday and Sunday (June 20 & 21) in the youth centre near Bullands cafe from 10am-4pm.
Chairperson of Milngavie Community Council, Callum Christie, hopes to set up a Community Development Trust to attract funding and carry out projects which are chosen by local people.
This meeting is the final part of a six month self-funded community consultation.
Callum said: “This is a unique opportunity for people to create their own future.
“They can also hear about the great ideas for the future and projects that have come out of our surveys and public meetings so far.
“Participants will be asked to vote for the projects they like best, and the ones they’d be most likely to volunteer some time to.
“The success of a Trust, which would have a charitable status, depends upon enough people volunteering.”
