You could learn how to paint silk at a beginners’ workshop at Mugdock Country Park tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am to 4pm.
This is your chance to go and learn about this exciting and enjoyable craft. It is suitable for all, especially those who think they are not artistic. You will make beautiful cards, pictures, a scarf and necklace. All materials included in the cost of £40 which should be paid at time of booking. Take a packed lunch or visit Stables tearoom. Bookings on 0141 956 6100. Wheelchair accessible.
If your canine companion is a bit out of control you could take him or her along to the Mugdock Superdog course on Sunday from 2pm-4pm.
This is an opportunity to find out how to control your dog in the countryside, also enter the fastest dog and waggiest tail contests. Watch a ‘clicker’ dog training demonstration and find out some grooming and nail care tips. All shapes and sizes of dog welcome, but beginners only please. Meet in the overflow car park near Mugdock Country Park visitor centre. Cost £1, all proceeds to Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre. For more information phone the park.
