If you’ve always wondered how much that vase you inherited from your great-granny is worth - or maybe your collection of unusual items - why not pop along to an ‘antiques roadshow’ type of event which is being held in Killearn Kirk Halls on Wednesday, August 5 from 10am to 3pm?
Anita Manning and five of her valuers from Great Western Auctions will be on hand to provide information about items, whether it’s something antique or just an unusual collectible.
The event, which has been organised to raise funds for the maintenance and running costs of the church, promises to be fun-filled for all the family and it may even end up being profitable.
Members of the public can have up to three items valued for the entry cost of just £10 and they can also sell the items in an auction if they want to, although there is no pressure to do so.
The ticket price also includes tea/coffee and home-baking.
Anne O’Neill, organiser, said: “We want to attract as big an audience as possible.”
