Their aim is to reduce the number of spills from Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) into the River Kelvin during prolonged heavy rainfall.

Before this work in the River Kelvin area can begin, they need to carry out borehole investigations in Kelvinhaugh Street at the junction of Argyle Street.

The road traffic management has been planned in liaison with Glasgow City Council’s roads department. Local diversions will be signposted.

A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank customers and road users in advance for their patience and understanding.”
