Heavily discounted tickets and other perks are available this week for MugStock Festival which comes to Mugdock Country Park this summer.
This boutique new music festival, which is on at the park from August 7 to 9, has also launched a crowd-funding campaign.
The organising team are expecting the limited availability discounts and special offers to be snapped up in seconds.
Organiser Kat Borrowdale said: “We honestly don’t know who is going to be first off the mark, but weekend camping tickets will retail at £80, so this is an excellent chance to grab an absolute bargain.”
Grass roots support for this new festival is already strong. Over 1,000 Facebook followers are looking forward to the acts confirmed so far – including the riotously energetic brass and honk step band Orkestra Del Sol and guitar legend Preston Reed
The campaign, which will have loads of tempting rewards, went live to the general public on the mugstock.org website at 1pm on Tuesday this week.
As well as branded mugs and T-shirts supporters will be offered an exclusive gig at the top of the Mugdock Castle tower with headliners Orkestra Del Sol, and the option to have a photograph of their face added to the Sgt Peppers style backdrop on the main stage.
For fans of ‘glamping’, perhaps the ultimate reward will be entry to SmugStock, a VIP area where patrons can expect a prime spot in an extremely comfy throne in front of the main stage, waiter-service drinks and pampering massages.
The Festival will include family-friendly events such as live music, parades, outdoor fun, circus and theatre performers, an attempt to break the world record for the longest kazoo-playing conga line and events with community groups.
There could also be pond dipping, castle tours, guided walks, woodland rambles, survival, storytelling, mountain biking, willow weaving and orienteering. The festival will especially appeal to families, as under 12s get in for free with a paying adult.
