Cumbernauld fund-raiser has the X-Factor

MACMILLAN Cancer Support will benefit from a fundraising ‘X-Factor Night’ being held at the Royal British Legion in Cumbernauld on Friday night.

The event has been organised by Constable Alan Mulholland, from Kildrum, who has already helped raise more than £5500 for the charity after joining 100 female motorcyclists on a trip around Scotland, dubbed the Breast Way Round.

The Community Safety Officer is hoping a further £1000 can be raised for the charity at the Cumbernauld fundraiser.

As well as the musical performances, the night will feature an auction packed with great items, such as a flat screen TV and a signed Franz Ferdinand guitar.

Proceedings kick-off at 7.30pm at the Royal British Legion club, South Muirhead Road, and all are welcome to come along and support a great cause.

Money raised will be used by Macmillan to support people in the Cumbernauld area who are living with cancer.
