A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Herald today: "We were made aware of a vehicle on fire at Auchenhowie Road in Milngavie around 3.45pm on Tuesday, 6 April."Nobody was injured and the fire is being treated as deliberate. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Witnesses on social media spoke of a substantial police presence in the area and large plumes of smoke. There was also speculation that the car had been stolen.
