SENIOR Citizens - the next meeting of the Strathblane group will be on Tuesday, February 14 in the Edmonstone Hall at 7.30pm when Felix Lennon will lead an evening of music for all.

STRATHENDRICK Embroiderers Guild - February’s meeting will be held in Killearn New Church Halls on February 21 from 10.30am.

The day will begin with a chance for a chat, a coffee or a cup of tea and there will be a morning workshop and show and display time.

From 2pm Jean Leader will be presenting and talking on ‘Lace’.

STRATHBLANE Community Council - February’s meeting will be held in the primary school on Monday from 7.30pm.

The meeting’s agenda is available online or can be viewed in advance at the library.

GIRLGUIDES - 1st Strathblane Girlguides are going to hold open evening on Thursday, March 1 at Strathblane Scout Hall starting at 7.30pm and ending at 9pm.

They meet there every Thursday at that time.

Girls in P5 upwards are most welcome to go along and see what it’s like and have fun.

DRYMEN WRI - the next meeting of Drymen WRI on February 9 is entitled ‘Ideas for Show Floral Arrangements’ with Mrs J. Wilson.

A pleasant subject which should brighten up the dull days.

The competitions for the evening are: white floral arrangement and knitted article from show schedule (adult mitts).

Could ladies going to Sound of Music at the McRobert on March 7 please take £15 with them.


COFFEE Morning - Killearn PTA’s Burns coffee morning is tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am until midday in the village hall.

Entrance costs £2 for adults and £1 for children.

Entertainment will be provided by Killearn Primary School children.

The Parent Teacher Association would welcome donations of home baking - please hand them in to the school office before 3.15pm today (Friday) or at the village hall by 10am tomorrow (Saturday).
