Council is doing its bit to save the planet during Earth Hour

East Dunbartonshire Council will be helping to make history as part of Earth Hour on March 28 - with residents urged to switch off the lights and switch on to greener lifestyles.

Millions of people across the globe will take part in a symbolic ‘lights-out’ gesture for Earth Hour - to show concern for climate change and a determination to tackle it.

As part of local efforts, the floodlights will be switched off at William Patrick Library in Kirkintilloch from 8.30pm-9.30pm on Saturday,March 28.

The council is firmly behind Earth Hour and is encouraging employees and members of the public to get involved.
