POLICE are still hunting for the heartless vandal who took toys from a shed in the grounds of Westerton Primary School, in Bearsden, and threw them around the playground.
Luckily none of the children’s outdoor toys were damaged, but teachers had to tidy up the mess on Monday morning.
The head of education, Gordon Currie, said: “It is very disappointing that the new resources bought for the children at Westerton Primary School were vandalised in this manner.
“The head teacher is working in close partnership with community policing to look at ways in which we can reduce the opportunities for any future anti-social behaviour in the school grounds.”
The incident happened at around 5pm on Saturday, September 1.
The suspect has been described as a white male aged about 14 to 15, 5ft 2ins tall, with dark brown hair.
He was wearing a blue hooded top, grey jogging bottoms with dark blue stripes and black trainers.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Milngavie police office on 0141 532 4000 or, if you’d like to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
