Renowned classical guitatist Marco Ramelli (pictured) will be a headline act at the St Andrew’s Festival in Milton of Campsie Village Hall (November 27 to 29).
He has been a first prize winner at no less than four international competitions, and won the first ever Scottish International Guitar Competition held at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2011 - before winning second prize at the Seville International Guitar Competition the following year.
He has many other plaudits to his credit, and is a musician of the first rank - and it may be seen as a major coup for Milton of Campsie to have him perform at the St Andrew’s weekend.
The G66+live St. Andrew’s Festival in Milton of Campsie Village Hall takes place on the weekend of November 27 to 29.
The free art exhibition and sale, opening with clarsach music and refreshments, will be on the Friday at 5pm, followed at 7.15pm
by Scottish folk music and a ceilidh.
Next day the Christmas Orchesteral Concert, with carols, stars Marco Ramelli and bass singer Frank McCamley, and on Sunday there’s afternoon hazz from 2.15pm, with acts including the Black Diamonds, Havana Band and the David Findlay Trio.
