Kirkintilloch Male Voice Choir is staging a charity concert for the Operation Christmas Child charity initiative on November 7 at 7.30pm in Lenzie Old Parish Church.
The concert has been arranged by the current choir president David Calder to celebrate a significant birthday and his 60 years of music.
The programme will be varied and the other groups taking part will be Lenzie Old Parish Church Choir – said to be thoroughly relishing performing as “host Choir” within their own Sanctuary.
Also taking part are Auchinloch Bowling Club singers; and a reunion quartet from Glasgow University Cecilian Society, who will be performing some of the ever-popular work of Gilbert and Sullivan.
The line-up will be completed by Con Quattro Voce an A Cappella quartet.
David Calder said: “The Male Voice Choir are thoroughly looking forward to being given this opportunity to support another local charity and hope that many of their regular followers will be able to attend this unique evening of entertainment.”
Admission is by donation at the door.
Operation Christmas Child involves giving Christmas gifts in shoeboxes packed with festive treats to children who might not otherwise receive anything at Christmas.
