Over the past three years the Kirkintilloch and Lenzie Fundraising Group have been collecting cash locally by holding Great Daffodil Appeal collections, selling cakes and drinks at the Lenzie Gala Day, collecting at the Kirkintilloch Canal Festival, selling Christmas Cards, attending local fundraising events and encouraging others to fundraise for Marie Curie.

Their name was recently unveiled on Marie Curie Hospice Glasgow’s ‘recognition board’, which celebrates those who have gone the extra mile for the charity.

And the group are now looking for members to help them raise even more money.

Susan Harrison, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie in East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire and Glasgow, said: “It is a pleasure to work with this fantastic fundraising group.

“They have raised a phenomenal amount for Marie Curie over the past three years, however, in order to ensure this continues we would love to see more local people getting involved.

“If you are interested in joining the Kirkintilloch and Lenzie Fundraising Group please do get in touch so we can continue providing this vital care for local people.”
