Celtic fans have created a green and white banner in tribute to tragic teenager Paige Doherty.

The banner, which read “RIP Paige”, is expected to go on display at the team’s match at Parkhead against Hearts on Saturday, April 2.

Since the body of the 15-year-old, formerly from Bishopbriggs, was tragically discovered on Monday, numerous local tributes have been organised in her memory.

On Thursday night Clydebank’s landmark Titan Crane lit up pink, while a memorial is due to be held sometime soon in the town.

Mourners, including Paige’s school friends, have lain floral tributes at the site where her body was discovered .

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with Paige’s death and is due to appear in court on Saturday.
