Carluke man Scott Johnstone completes West Highland Way bike ride
GORGING into junk food after enduring a 97-mile bike ride, Carluke-born Scott Johnstone was understandably exhausted.The 40-year-old, who now lives in Douglas, had just cycled up and down the West Highland Way hills for over 21 hours.
Scott, whose efforts have now raised £686 for Children’s Hospice Association Scotland, said: “It was fantastic to finish, although I was seriously tired.
“So tired, in fact, that I didn’t have the strength to lift my bike up onto the car roof!
