Can you provide a home to cat and dog best pals?

The Scottish SPCA is looking for a new home for a cat and dog who are the best of friends.

Hamish the westie and Figaro the cat arrived in the care of the charity’s Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre after their elderly owner was sadly no longer able to look after them due to ill health.

Staff at the centre in Cardonald are now seeking a special person to take on the close pair.

Centre Manager Anna O’Donnell said: “Hamish and Figaro are both two years old and have lived together since they were just eight weeks.

“They’re very attached and it’s clear they adore each other so we would hate to see them separated.

“Hamish and Figaro have had a bit of a tough time lately after having to say goodbye to their owner so we’re keen to give them some stability again soon.

“Hamish is a really friendly and sweet little dog and Figaro is a lovely natured cat who enjoys affection.

“They will make absolutely fantastic companions for someone with the time and resources to care for them both.

“We’d love to find them a wonderful new home where they can continue to enjoy each other’s company for the rest of their lives.”

Anyone interested in offering Hamish and Figaro a forever home together can visit the Scottish SPCA’s centre in Glasgow or call on 03000 999 999.
