A Milngavie boy has been named as the winner of a competition to design the banner for MugStock Festivals’
Calum Stark (9) created a colourful picture of a festival that the judges said “looked like it would be a wonderful event to go to”.
His drawing will now be turned into a banner to be displayed in the Children’s Zone at the first MugStock event - a festival of music and merriment at Mugdock Country Park from August 7 to 9.
Calum and his family received free tickets to attend the music festival, which also features events and activities for families.
The MugStock team were helped when selecting the competition winner by James Higgins of the Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie.
The team all agreed that Calum’s picture had a tremendous sense of fun.
Some of the acts lined up include Preston Reed, Orkestra del Sol, Siobhan Wilson, Dave Arcari, The Amorettes , Colonel Mustard & the Dijon 5, Theremin Hero, Mickey 9s, The Girobabies, Jamie & Shoonie, Scunner and children’s entertainer Mr Boom!
