A coffee shop is collecting toys for children who will be spending the festive season in hospital - in memory of a tragic mum and her son.
Brenda Young, owner of the Village Cafe in Bishopbriggs, had previously organised fundraisers for Gayle McElhinney and her son Kane, who both contracted cancer.
Cash raised helped send Kane to Germany for treatment, but he died in 2013.
Gayle passed away earlier this year at the age of 35.
Brenda said: “One of Kane’s last wishes was to support the Toy Fund at the Southern General so my daughter Claire Young and Andy Bradley will be collecting again this year.”
If you would like to donate a toy, just take it to the village cafe by December 19.
