Big museumcash appeal has paid off
The site had been bought over a year ago by a small group of museum supporters who gave Biggar Museum Trust the option of buying it from them at a total cost of £385,000.
That option would have expired at the end of this month and the site would have been put up for sale on the open market.

Hide AdIn February, Museum Trust chairman James Dawnay launched the fundraising campaign and, in a few short months, local organisations and individuals have come up with a staggering £425,000, making the project possible.
