ENJOY an evening of Big Band Jazz with Monday Swing on Friday, October 29 in Milngavie Town Hall.
Presented jointly by the Dunbartonshire Wind Ensemble Trust and Milngavie Heritage Centre, who will share the proceeds, the concert begins at 7.30pm.
There will be tea, coffee or a soft drink at the interval (included with ticket) and an opportunity to view Milngavie Heritage Centre’s current exhibition.
”Swing” is the music which originated in the 1930s, and was introduced to the listening and dancing public by bands such as those of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, and Glen Miller. A spokesperson for the event said: “This will be performed in their normal bright, lively and entertaining style by the ever-popular community-based band.
Tickets cost £5 from Milngavie Bookshop, Milngavie Information Centre, the Iron Chef and the town hall on the night.
