Bearsden West Community Council is holding its AGM on Wednesday, May 27 at 7.30pm in the Westerton Hall and library building in Maxwell Avenue.
The community council meets on the last Wednesday of the month from January to June and September to December.
Robert Paterson, secretary, said: “Meetings last about 90 minutes and we discuss topics raised by residents, planning applications, council projects etc and give our input to the interested parties.
“The community council is very important and it is imperative that we ensure that our voice is heard in East Dunbartonshire’s corridors of power.
“The meetings are open to all residents in the area, so feel free to come along and have your say on what is happening locally. If you are interested in becoming a member and making a difference, then please ensure that you come along on the night and participate in the election of office bearers.”
