STRATHKELVIN and Bearsden MSP Fiona McLeod discussed the work of East Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau (EDCAB) at the Scottish Parliament.
She met with EDCAB manager Catherine Bradley and heard how a recent Fraser of Allander report esimated that the organisation contributes an estimated £166million to the Scotish economy through helping unemployed and ill people.
Ms McLeod said: “I have always known the work that Citizens Advice Scotland does in the community is invaluable but this new report highlights just how much money they help put back in the community’s pocket.
“They help every day people save money, pay less and maximise the benefits which all make life a little bit easier. I congratulate them on their achievements in East Dunbartonshire.”
