BARNARDO’S charity shop in Milngavie urgently needs donations of clothes, accessories and homeware as its stock is running dangerously low.
National retail results continue to show dips in consumer spending across the high streets in Scotland, yet Barnardo’s shops remain victims of their own success as they continue to run out of stock.
The UK’s largest children’s charity is urgently calling on the public to take any unwanted items to them to help them continue to raise vital funds for the UK’s most vulnerable children.
Gerard Cousins, Barnardo’s director of retail, said: “We have a strong reputation for good quality, well-priced stock. When you combine that with the current economic climate, it is clear why our stores continue to gather fans. Shoppers often visit us looking for nearly new designer outfits, vintage garments or eclectic homeware pieces - not only are they finding them, but they’re snapping them up at bargain prices too.”
People can donate to Barnardo’s at 17 Main Street from 10am to 4pm.
