Area at nature park in Kirkintilloch cordoned off as police investigate incident
CID detectives are investigating after an incident at Merkland Nature Reserve at Kirkintilloch on Saturday night.
Speculation has been rife on social media after a number of people described seeing officers in forensic gear, and an area around a bus stop at the park cordoned off with police tape from around 11.30pm that night.
Police confirmed to the Herald investigations were continuing over an ongoing incident but have so far declined to give any more details.
