Police are appealing to the public to help them trace a young deaf woman who vanished after a night out with friends.

Kirsty Aitchison (30) of Robroyston was last seen leaving the Campus bar in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow around 3am on Sunday, June 12.

The vulnerable young woman was wearing a black top, cream skirt and black sandals when she was last seen. She is described as 5ft in height and of slim build with long dark-coloured hair.

Inspector Leigh McManus from Greater Glasgow Division said: “Kirsty hasn’t been missing before and it is completely out of character for her not to keep in contact with her family and friends.

“She was reported missing to police on Sunday afternoon.

“Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace her, and I would ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Shettleston Police Office through the non-emergency number 101.”

Some of Kirsty’s friends on Facebook have changed their avatar to an image of her with the caption: Praying For Her Safety Home.
