Appeal after stolen car is set '¨on fire

Police are continuing their investigations after a stolen car was set on fire at Moodiesburn.

The silver BMW Mini was deliberately set ablaze around 5.45pm on Thursday, February 22 at Muckcroft Road.

Officers said their enquiries have revealed the vehicle was stolen from the Anniesland area on Friday February 16 or early on Saturday February 17.

Constable Katrina Keogh at Govan said: “Two men were seen near to the scene of the fire and they left in a grey Volkswagen Golf car as the BMW car was ablaze.

“I urge anyone who saw these men hanging around the area or who have any dash cam footage to contact police immediately on 101”.
