An ambitious project breathing new life into Milngavie town centre is continuing to make good progress.
The Milngavie BID (Business Improvement District) scheme was given the green light back in March, when around 81 per cent of local businesses backed the initiative in a ballot.
Since then work has been ongoing on projects identified as priorities, including town centre wi-fi and social media feeds, a supported shopwatch scheme and a Milngavie App for mobile devices.
A full review of the feasibility and delivery options is underway.
Other projects include additional cycle parking and signage, as well as discussing options for providing cycle hire facilities.
In addition, working with Milngavie in Bloom, the BID is looking at delivering autumn and winter colour through a number of planters.
The BID is also considering the option of purchasing and storing a defibrillator in Milngavie along with establishing the associated training that will be required.
The BID office is now up and running based in Milngavie Police Station, where BID manager Lesley Shaw continues to work with the board to deliver the plan whilst working closely with partner agencies such as East Dunbartonshire Council, Milngavie Youth Centre, Milngavie in Bloom and Police Scotland.
