Police were called to a house this week after reports of an allegedly out-of-control dog.
A 30-year-old man from Moodiesburn has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal after allegedly ‘dangerously losing control’ of his German Shepherd dog in the village on Wednesday, December 16.
It is alleged the dog managed to get into to the back garden of a 62-year-old woman’s home in The Cullins on Wednesday evening.
It is claimed the dog bit the householder’s dog, leaving it with several puncture wounds on its hind legs.
Police say that when the woman came to her dog’s aid, she was then bitten on the hand.
The dog was taken to a vet for treatement, while the woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
