East Dunbartonshire is set to benefit from a £550k refurbishment of local gyms.
The make-over project, which got underway last month will see the Allander Leisure centre Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre, and the Leisuredrome in Bishopbriggs all receive cutting edge equipment.
New flooring has also been installed in all three gyms as well as state-of-the-art cardio equipment.
The refurbishments began in August 2012 and all three will have new functional training zones, running zones as well as new suspension training to enhance the users whole exercise experience.
The first gym to re-open will be Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre on Saturday, September 8 followed by Leisuredrome on Saturday, September 22 and Allander Leisure on Saturday, October 6.
Councillor Stewart MacDonald, Chair of the Leisure and Culture Trust, said: “These gyms have all undergone a stunning refurbishment and I’m sure customers will be delighted to see the modern cardio equipment which has been installed.
“We are committed to working on a programme of maintenance and development. This ensures that customers continue to get the very best experience, enhancing health and fitness and a sense of wellbeing.”
