Carluke Railway Station commended

Carluke railway station has been commended in a new awards scheme run by Keep Scotland Beautiful.

The environmental charity visited all 346 Scottish stations to assess them for a new Tidy Stations Standards award and Carluke received Silver status.

Much of the “spadework” was carried out by Kristen Dearie, of Carluke Development Trust, who has adopted the station and enhanced it with planters which she also maintains.
